Climb Down Ladder Safe Work Practices

• Raise safety bar and put it in front of you
• Carefully turn towards truck
• Face the truck. Use 3 -points of contact
• Keep firm Grip on handhol.
• One step at a time
• Survey landing zone
• Have firm footing before releasing handhold

• Slip, Trip Fall

Close Ladder Safe Work Practices

• Rinse any debris from ladder, Wear safety glasses
• Clear path of ladder
• Keep hands from contact points and locking mechanism, wear gloves
• Shake closed ladder lightly to insure latched

• Struck by Ladder when closing
• Pinch points
• Debris in Eyes from mud on rungs
• Crush hazard from improperly secured ladder falling
